National Salsa Team to
represent Canada at the World Salsa Congress this July 2003 in San Juan
Puerto Rico.
Montréal, PQ: Over 50 dancers from 6 cities across
Canada will be united on one stage at the 7th WORLD Salsa Congress of
Puerto Rico this July 2003. With over 48 countries participating, Canada
is the only National Team registered, with dancers from Montréal,
Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
For the second year in a row, Canada was, and still
is, the first country to offer a National team at this event. In 2002,
Salsa Team Canada, with dancers from Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto,
had the honour of closing the largest Salsa Party at this event and
they rose to the occasion with an international standing ovation.
“Seeing it all come together was so rewarding!
The audience really felt the true Canadian spirit!” says Sonia
Kyriacou, founder of Salsa Team Canada.
Salsa Team Canada members have performed this past February
in Ottawa, for the Winterlude celebrations. Please do not hesitate to
contact us, to have Salsa Team Canada perform at your special event.
