Great Salsa Songs to Dance To...

This list has been in the works for over a year since I started surfing the internet and from talking to the DJs in the clubs; and is nowhere near completion. One of the reasons I love salsa so much is the music itself. When I danced in my first competition about 2-1/2 years ago, the DJ would ask what song we wanted to dance to and I hadn't a clue and neither did my partner! We might remember the tune when we heard it and possibly hum it to the DJ, but I would usually get a blank look! That started my quest to slowly start learning the artists and the name of the great songs that I love...

What has grown dramatically in the last few years is music websites that let you listen to a "clip" of songs of various artist's albums. Some sites even give you a biography of the artist and a list of all the albums they have produced over the years. This has helped me invaluably. It's also interesting to note that some songs have been been remade over the years by various artists and may be listed twice in this list. You can also find some great latin radio station websites where you can streamcast their music on your computer.

So for you all you music fans, this may be one of the first lists ever compiled together of some of the great salsa songs you've heard and danced to in the clubs. (Note: There may be some minor errors in the title of the songs or the artist's name as it's difficult to always find the correct information.)
